Showering and shaving are two acts that are performed by every individual or adults (to be more specific about shaving). Ladies and gents both shave some or all parts of their body to achieve their desired physical appearance. Some might do that voluntarily or under pressure, to meet the requirements of a certain role, job or organization.
Using a razor (a handy device with a sharp blade attached to it), to remove hair from one’s body is called as shaving. Men usually shave their faces or chest, some might go for a full body shave too whereas women shave almost all of their body to get that super smooth, satiny skin. Other alternatives are also available to remove unwanted hair from the body, but shaving is by far the most painless, efficient and effective method for hair removal.
Young girls and boys who hit puberty and are looking for answers related to shaving such as, how often and in what way should they shave, what tools should be used for which body part, what is the most appropriate time and condition to achieve maximum results, shave before and after shower and how to shave in the shower. All of these concerns are briefly addressed below:
efore or After Shower?
It is advisable to shave after shower, as the steam from the shower opens the pores of one’s skin and it becomes easier to reach the hair follicle and gives a much neater and smoother finish as opposed to shaving before taking a sh0ower, where one’s skin might be tight and hard making it difficult to remove hair and might also result in a rash or irritated and itchy skin afterward.
Wash Face Before or After Shaving?
Always wash your face before shaving. Doing so ensures the removal of dirt, bacteria and other impurities from the skin. In case you shave on an unclean face, the bacteria and dirt might spread around through the razor and might result in acne.
Shower Shaving Steps:
- Following steps must be followed to shave during the shower, in order to achieve maximum results:
- Make sure you have a clean and sharp razor.
- Wet the body part that you need to shave.
- Apply a reasonable quantity of good quality shaving cream and massage over the targeted area.
- Make sure you shave against the direction of the hair growth. If you shave in the same direction, the razor won’t be able to cut the hair.
- Once you are done, clean the shaved area and your razor. Dry and moisturize.
How to Shave in the Shower?
If you want to shave during the shower, take a shower first (ideally with warm water), shave following the above-mentioned steps and VOILA, you have silky smooth skin.
