Post-college days, when I had roommates, one roommate was determined to raise an ant colony in our kitchen and he succeeded. One morning as I went about the a.m. rituals of java pouring, bagel buttering and ant murdering, I became fascinated by the persistence and constant forward movement of those little rascals. The author of Proverbs must have had a similar roommate experience, for he wrote:
“Ants, they aren’t strong, but they store up food all summer.” Prov. 30:25 (New Living Translation)
Many network marketers asked a question, how to succeed in network marketing? Network marketing consultants would do well to develop ANT STATUS…
7 Comments on A.N.T status:
1- Think about it. Ants are shrewd. They’re entrepreneurs. Just like us. They have no boss or supervisor, yet they work alongside each other. If they have questions, they probably ask another ant.
2-They must spend a lot of time at the coast because their houses are surrounded by mounds of sand. My guess is, they enjoy the sun and sand; yet they work as they go, seeking productive ways to combine the joys of travel with business expense write-offs.
3-They aren’t the biggest insect on the block, perhaps that’s why they move in numbers. No lone rangers among the ants. No feeling sorry for themselves or feeling intimidated by the big guys. For them, the concept of teamwork seems like a no-brainer. Instinctually they know the value of team effort. Together Everyone Achieves More.
4- At some point, when picnics were few and far between the ants must have contacted Donald Trump for his advice. I’d wager a bet they have his affirmation framed and hung on the walls of their homes” Even if you haven’t encountered great success yet, there is no reason you can’t bluff a little and act like you have. Confidence is a magnet in the best sense of the word. It will draw people to you and make your daily life… and theirs… a lot more pleasant.” Donald Trump
These little guys don’t have time to get discouraged or hang out with the fear factor. Sure they face obstacles. They may change direction; however, nothing seems to stop their course of forwarding movement.
5- Networking seems head slapping simple to these guys. After all, they always seem to know where the picnics are!
In regards to networking, sales trainer Brian Tracy shares great advice: “I’ve found that luck is quite predictable. If you want more luck, take more chances. Be more active. Show up more often.”
6- Social Media Training. You’re wondering how I’m going to tie this into ants, aren’t you? Ants are perpetually preparing for the future. These little guys practice forward thinking. They may not know what’s coming. But they’re prepared. And when the picnic’s over…they move on.
7-Ants must have the most phenomenal financial investment counselors! They work TODAY, knowing that tomorrow is coming and age happens. Not sure if they have Social Security…even so, they probably don’t depend on it. Why? Remember these little guys are forward thinkers. They don’t eat everything at the picnics they attend. They bring some home and store it up for the future. How much? As much as they can carry home!
These seven comments on Ant status, in fact, seven tips for network marketing success. There’s a gold rush into network marketing these days. Like the ants, we can all work together. We can leave discouragement behind as we practice constant forward movement. We can learn from each other and change direction if we must. This attitude will bring new network marketing opportunities.
TODAY and every day we can get out there making a difference!
